“Channel Manager” and “Subtitle” features will be updated on Chainflix!
Dear Chainflix Members.
Chainflix is always striving to provide more convenient and useful features to its members.
We would like to introduce the ‘Channel Manager’ and ‘Subtitles’ functions, which will be updated soon.
1. Channel Manager
They are users that help the owner of the channel manage or operate the channel better. They can improve the content by providing and editing subtitles for the videos in the channel.
Q. How to add a channel manager?
A. Click to ‘Add Manager’ button in ‘Channel Management’ > ‘Manager List’.
After adding a channel manager, an email will be sent to the email of the manager. The manager must confirm by clicking the ‘Approve’ button in the e-mail.
Q. How many the kind of managers and their respective rights?
A. Channel managers are divided into three categories: managers, subtitle providers, and editors. (Permissions will be further subdivided according to future feature updates.)
- Administrator privileges
Upload video, edit video, delete the video, write community post, edit community post, delete community post, edit playlist, delete a playlist, hide comments
- Subtitle provider
Upload video, edit video (subtitles can be attached), delete video, edit playlist, delete playlist
- editor
Upload video, edit video (subtitles cannot be attached), delete video, edit playlist, delete playlist
Q. How we can know who contributed to the video?
A. When uploading a video, you can set the channel manager who contributed to the video, and the selected manager will be displayed as a ‘manager list’ at the bottom of the video.
Q. The difference between channel managers and regular members?
A Comments of channel managers have stick ‘manager’ on the left, so another user can know who are registered managers in the channel.
2. Subtitles
Subtitles in various languages help users in the world enjoy video perfectly.
Q. How do I upload subtitles?
A. After uploading the video and the encoding process finished, you can add subtitles in the Edit Video tab.
(Subtitle production and editing functions will be introduced in the future.)
Q. What subtitle file formats are supported?
A. Chainflix supports three subtitle formats: vtt, srt, and sbv.
Q. How can use subtitles?
A. Click the ‘Subtitle’ icon at the bottom right of the video play screen to select the desired language.
